In any case, I believe that dear person was absolutely correct. I used to write a diary, but a diary can’t give you the response which a blog can so…I decided to “go for it”.  So here it is: my place to escape to, my forum, my friend in need, my outlet, the start of something new – my blog.

So, who am I and why on earth do I need a “place to escape to”?

I am a woman in my mid-twenties who just happens to be utterly and totally undecided and confused when it comes to my today and my tomorrow.  I am living with the love of my life, fingers crossed. I really want a baby, most days. I really want to get married, any day. I should study to “get somewhere” in my career, but at the same time I really don’t care for a career. I have a cat, a real cutie. And I live in the woods, the middle of nowhere to be more specific.

Why housewife in the making?

Well, at the moment I only work a couple of hours per week and since there is not a whole heap of things to do around where I live and entertain I usually spend my days more or less walking in the footsteps of the traditional housewife.
I clean, do laundry, bake, plan the groceries, knit, go to tupperware parties (oh yes!), try to perfect my cooking (though hubby-to-be is acctually the real cook of the house) and so on… And I have to admit that I, in the middle of my baby cravings and career panic, do wish that I could skip back a couple of decades and be a “real” housewife.
